Here’s another Egyptian, in this case a woman. Women rarely show up as individuals in ancient history, so the very fact that we know anything about her makes her special. She lived almost 4,000 years ago. She was a nurse, most likely to a wealthy family. Another oddity: this statue was found in Turkey. Most likely, she served a family that lived in Turkey in some sort of official government function. We don’t know anything about that family. We do know, however, that when she was introduced to Pharoah, he said “Gesundheit!”
