The Benefits of Rationalism

I have shown that only in the Western world was rationalism placed on a pedestal. In all other civilizations, rationalism was either unknown or relegated to an insignificant niche populated by a few unique specialists. I claim that rationalism gave the West the advantage it used to conquer the world. In this essay, I’ll attempt to specify the many benefits of rationalism.

The first benefit was the development of a legal system comprehensive enough to encourage meritocracy.
