In 1987 Elaine Ditton of Incredible Technologies asked me to teach a two-day course in game design to her people. I duly prepared and delivered a two-day lecture. However, the students were damn good and what we ended up with was more like a graduate-level seminar on game design. Although these videos are long (each is about two hours), they are interesting to see what game design thought was like nearly 25 years ago. Some of the issues we discussed are still relevant today.
