I’ve made rapid progress in many areas, but I’ve run into a tough obstacle. The options for Act I were all easy, because they didn’t do anything. Act I is primarily an expository act, with only a few meaningful options. But in Act II, Arthur begins his military campaign against the Saxons, and he must make important decisions, both in terms of military strategy and in terms of his relationships with his sub-kings. I’m having trouble figuring these out. These will not introduce branching, although there is some branching for the final battle with the Saxons at the end of Act II. But for all the other encounters in Act II, branching is disallowed. Arthur’s decisions must produce identical consequences, but differing changes in pValues. How will this work? What kinds of options will change pValues but not consequences?
