January 1st

Yesterday morning I had a doctor’s appointment and got two vaccinations around 9:30 AM. I was fine most of the day, but around dinner I began to feel out of sorts, and I went to bed feeling ill at 8:30. I didn’t get much sleep; between fever, sweating, cold chills, and aches, I spent most of the night just being miserable. This morning I was better, but still too weak to attempt any work. I spent much of today sleeping. I’m still not up to speed at 9:00 PM. I’m hoping I’ll be back to normal tomorrow morning.

I have an overactive immune system. When it detected the killed flu virus in my body, it declared “Intruder Alert!” and when into emergency mode generating gazillions of white blood cells to wipe out the invaders. All the metabolic energy devoted to fighting off the fake infection deprived me of any energy for anything else.

I suppose that I should take comfort in the knowledge that I’ll never succumb to an infectious disease. It’s my immune system that will make me sick as a dog.

In the meantime, I’ve lost a full day of life to the god-damned vaccine.
