Oecolampadius was the neighbor's cat in California, but he wisely decided to come down and live with us on May 25th, 1996. This was a good decision on his part because the neighbor never bothered to neuter her cats, so they multiplied out of control, so she couldn't afford to give them their shots. As a consequence, feline leukemia got loose in her cat herd and they all died. But not Oco. He was a big guy and liked to give big hugs -- wrapping both paws around your neck. Oeco died on February 23rd, 2007.
